Hello, Bob Mckillop here, thank you for stopping by my blog.
I love songs, songwriters, and everything about the art and craft of songwriting. I wrote my first song when I was five years old, and haven’t stopped since.
I’ve had some small successes, but my goal is to license my songs to a recording artist and hear other people performing them. I’m still working toward that objective.
I write short, hook-driven Americana, “Left of Center” country, and acoustic folk songs.
I admire the work of songwriters like Roger Miller, Cindy Walker, Carol King, Mark Erelli, Tony Lane, Shane McAnally, Kacey Musgraves, Guy Clark, and Sam Outlaw. Lori McKenna is my songwriting hero.
I perform my original songs occasionally in the terrific local music scene here in Portland, Maine.
If you are an artist looking for material, please consider my songs for your audience, and get in touch if you’d like to cover them. It would be an honor.
Please visit my ReverbNation page, and listen to a few of my songs. Feel free to leave a comment there about my music or these blog posts.
